ความหมายของ Two-word verbs
Two-word verbs หรือ Phrasal Verb คือกริยาผสมคือการนำ Verb ตัวหนึ่งไปผสมกับ Adverb อีกตัวหนึ่ง และทำให้เกิดความหมายแตกต่างออกไปจากเดิม เช่นblow up = explode ระเบิด
leave off = stop หยุด
go on = continue (ทำ)ต่อไป
give in = yield ยอมแพ้
give up = abandon สละ, เลิก, ละทิ้ง
make out = understand เข้าใจ
Note* Two-word verbs in English are plentiful. You must to read a lot and remember it and use it as well as.
N.B. 1. Adverb เหล่านี้ส่วนมากเราเอามาใช้เป็น prepositions
2. Two-word verbs บางตำราเรียกว่า Idioms
